Carbon Offsets

It means that for any carbon emissions released into our atmosphere as a result of manufacturing and shipping items at Planet Joy, we invest in projects that reduce carbon emissions by the same amount. It’s almost like we’re giving the planet an IOU, then immediately paying it back. 

Each time someone checks the carbon neutral box at checkout, we will automatically purchase verified emissions reductions, more commonly known as “offsets” through our friends at EcoCart. These purchases support environmental projects, like wind and solar farms that create clean energy, or protecting trees that would otherwise be cut down so that they can continue to absorb carbon from the air. On top of it, we make sure that these projects are doing some extra good like protecting animals or supporting underserved communities. 

When we say your orders will be “carbon neutral” (“net zero” is another term you’ll hear), that means that we will eliminate, capture, or otherwise mitigate all of the carbon emissions created from making Planet Joy products and shipping them to your door.  

Absolutely. However, they should be treated as a supplement to the other efforts we are making to reduce the amount of carbon we are responsible for emitting in the first place. Carefully vetted carbon offset programs are a great way for humanity to buy time as we work to revitalize our ecosystems and reduce our emissions, but they are just one piece of the puzzle.  

Orders

Since many of our offerings are made-to-order, we can only make changes if your order has not yet already gone into production. 

To check to see if this is possible for your order, fill out our contact form. If your order has not gone into production yet, we will gladly make the changes for you. Be sure to include your order number in your message when you reach out to us.

If your order has not yet been shipped, we would be happy to change the shipping address for you.

You can check the status of your order and change your address by filling out the contact form. Be sure to include your order number and the new address in your message so we can be as efficient as possible.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive your items within 5-10 business days.

Hoodies and shirts can take up to 3 weeks as they are made-to-order.

Please account for longer shopping times during the holiday season: November-December.

Returns/Exchanges

If your order arrives damaged or defective please contact us with your order number, and a brief description of the issue we will respond promptly with how to proceed. 

If it is a production error or defect, we would be happy to replace the items.

Shipping

Currently we are only able to offer mugs for international shipping.
